Dr. Paul Detterman of Louisville to present organ concert at Campbellsville University March 3

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (02/18/2015)(readMedia)-- Dr. Paul Detterman, national director of The Fellowship Community, an accountable community of evangelicals based in Louisville, Ky., will give the Noon Organ Series Concert at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

The concert will end at 12:50 p.m. and is open the public free of charge.

Detterman will be playing works by Gordon Jacob, J.S. Bach, Louis Vierne, John Philip Sousa and himself.

Detterman was pastor of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Louisville when Dr. Wesley Roberts, Campbellsville University professor of music, served as organist there.

Detterman is a follower of Jesus who has been given the opportunity to write, compose, teach, and lead God's people in many different ways.

He earned a Bachelor of Sacred Music at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Ill., (organ major) and a Master of Church Music from Concordia College (now University) in River Forest, Ill. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Boston University School of Theology.

He has served congregations in West Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts as a church musician and in Ohio, Kansas and Kentucky as a pastor. He also served as associate for worship on the national staff of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
