Ellen Dalina of Perry Hall Completes Comegys Bight Fellowship

CHESTERTOWN, MD (10/23/2012)(readMedia)--  Washington College is pleased to announce that Ellen Dalina '13 of Perry Hall, MD has completed her work as a Comegys Bight Fellow. Presented by the College's C.V. Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience, the Comegys Bight Fellowship Program offers stipends to support summer internships at some of the nation's leading historical and cultural institutions. These paid internships annually provide a handful of students with high-level research experience on topics related to American history pre-1900.

Over the summer, Dalina worked at the Maryland Historical Society. There, she and another fellow wrote a script for an audio tour that will be implemented in the Historical Society's War of 1812 exhibit. Dalina presented her work at a special program on campus on October 15th.

Dalina is a double-major in English and history, with a minor in religion. She is president of Phi Alpha Theta and active in Sigma Tau Delta, as well as EROS and the Philosophy Club. Dalina is also a recipient of the Starr Center's Quill and Compass Scholarship and a Presidential Fellow. She graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory School.
