Emma Willard School is pleased to announce the selection of Trudy E. Hall, Head of School, by The Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities as a member of their 2009 Alumni Hall of Distinction.
Hall and other inductees were honored at a special reception and awards ceremony held Monday evening, March 2, 2009, during CICU's 53rd Annual Meeting for college and university presidents. The Commission created the Alumni Hall in 2000 to recognize graduates of New York's Independent Colleges and Universities who have made extraordinary contributions to society through their careers and community involvement.
Hall received an M.A.L.S. from Duke University, an M.Ed. in counseling and consulting psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a B.S. in psychology and sociology from St. Lawrence University. She was appointed by the Emma Willard School Board of Trustees as sixteenth head of school in December 1999.
