Emma Willard School Announces Commended Students in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program

TROY, NY (10/31/2011)(readMedia)-- Trudy Hall, head of school at Emma Willard School, one of the nation's leading college preparatory boarding and day schools for young women, has announced that five young women have been named Commended Students in the 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are:

Ashley Bohan '12

Natalie Munderville '12

Wanda Noonan '12

Nicole Ratelle '12

Harriet Zucker '12

A letter of commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented to these scholastically talented seniors.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2012 competition by taking the 2010 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
