ALBANY, NY (08/19/2011)(readMedia)-- "Environmental Advocates of New York applauds Governor Cuomo and the Department of Environmental Conservation for acting to protect New York's waters. Without the Water Resources Protection Act the health of New York's waters were jeopardized daily by large, unregulated water withdrawals to support everything from power production to golf course maintenance and gas drilling. Environmental Advocates looks forward to working with the Department of Environmental Conservation to realize the goals of the new law and safeguard New York's waters."
