"Esmin Green's death was tragic because it was completely preventable. Voluntary care in a community-based support environment and a philosophy of listening and self determination would save lives, cost less, and be more accountable to the people using services. Full investigation and criminal prosecution should be first steps to be rebuilding from the ground up to stop tragedies like this from ever happening again." -- Will Hall, The Icarus Project/Freedom Center, and Madness Radi
