Senior exhibition caps college career for Corinth, N.Y., student

CAZENOVIA, NY (04/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host exhibitions of work by seniors in its Art and Design classes.

Essence L. Todman of Corinth, N.Y., is a senior who will receive a bachelor of fine arts degree in fashion design upon graduation, with a minor in studio art - photography. Todman will be part of the exhibition scheduled for April 18 - 24, with an artists' reception on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.

Todman writes of her work, "As a photographer and a fashion designer, I try to create a beautiful interpretation of the feel of the dress while making the model look great. The point of fashion photography is to create a feeling and a story so that consumers can see themselves wearing the fashion." Todman uses her love of fashion and photography to create her edgy and elegant photographs.
