Fairview Park native honored by Marquette University's Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Scie

MILWAUKEE, WI (05/23/2013)(readMedia)-- MILWAUKEE –Erin Galvin, daughter of Raymond and Susan Galvin, was awarded the Miriam Connellan Mathematics Education Award by Marquette University's Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. Galvin, of Fairview Park, Ohio, graduated in May with a bachelor of arts in elementary/middle education with a second major in mathematics for elementary school teachers.

The Miriam Connellan Mathematics Education Award is presented in memory of Dr. Miriam Connellan, a former MSCS faculty member and university teaching award winner. This award is presented to the mathematics major who has demonstrated the greatest potential for success in the field of mathematics education.
