Fergus Fall Resident Kyle Sorkness to Speak at Concordia University, St. Paul Commencement

ST. PAUL, MN (05/02/2013)(readMedia)-- Concordia University, St. Paul student Kyle Sorkness of Fergus Falls, Minn. will give the welcome address to his fellow graduates during the university's traditional undergraduate commencement ceremony May 10, 2013 at the Gangelhoff Center. Sorkness is graduating summa cum laude with bachelor's degree in Theology and a Bible Languages minor.

Drawn to Concordia because of its varying Christian ministry programs, Sorkness spent a formative junior year living in a diverse area of Minneapolis as part of Concordia's Urban Cross-Cultural College Consortium (U4C) program. He was active in most of the theology and ministry clubs at Concordia, and considers Dr. Mark Schuler's Israeli archaeological dig one of the high points of his university experience. Sorkness has been very involved in student government, where he served as a senator, vice-president and president. After finishing his formal education he hopes to enter full-time Christian ministry.
