Fidelis Care Names Michael Engrassia as New Director of Behavioral Health

QUEENS, NY (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care, the New York State Catholic Health Plan, is pleased to announce that Michael Engrassia has joined Fidelis Care as the Director of Behavioral Health, and will be responsible for all aspects of the Behavioral Health Program including: case management, utilization review, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Fidelis Care, Michael served as the Administrator of Vision Services & Capital Projects for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, from 2008 through 2010. Previous positions also include Director/Administrator for Catholic Charities Health Systems' Adult Day Health Care Program, and Deputy Director of Client Services for the Long Island Association for AIDS Care, Inc..

Mr. Engrassia holds a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University, an Alcoholism Counseling Certificate from South Oaks Institute, and both a Master of Social Work and Executive MBA from Fordham University.

Born and raised in Brentwood, NY, Mr. Engrassia currently resides in West Babylon, New York, with his wife Mary Lou and their daughter Abigail. In his free time, Michael can be found either on the golf course, or the basketball court coaching local CYO teams.
