REGO PARK, QUEENS, NY (07/26/2012)(readMedia)-- Following the unexpected passing of President and CEO Mark L. Lane on July 22, Fidelis Care has appointed Reverend Patrick J. Frawley, the company's current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, to serve as Interim CEO.

Fr. Frawley joined Fidelis Care in 1996 and will lead the company, which is the largest government programs-based health plan in New York State with more than 780,000 members, until a permanent CEO is selected at a later date.

Fr. Frawley worked with Mr. Lane in leading the plan's Statewide expansion from its initial service area of 14 zip codes in Brooklyn to 59 of the State's 62 counties. Under their leadership, Fidelis Care has grown steadily in membership, geographic service area, and in the diversity of programs, care, and services offered to members.
