BINGHAMTON, NY (10/17/2011)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care is pleased to join with Broome County Catholic Charities to offer Holiday Food Baskets for the hungry, and to provide eligibility screenings for the uninsured to assist them in obtaining health insurance coverage through Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus and Medicaid Managed Care.
Broome County is home to approximately 2,500 uninsured children under the age of 19, and more than 20,000 uninsured adults between the ages of 19 and 64. Fidelis Care is committed to reducing these numbers, and ensuring that all New Yorkers have access to affordable, quality health insurance coverage.
Catholic Charities will accept sign-ups for the Holiday Food Baskets at the following locations:
St. Mary's Recreation Center on Hawley Ave in Binghamton: October 17, 18 and 19 from Noon until 6:00pm. Sign-ups will be accepted for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.
Mother Theresa's Cupboard located at 202 Garfield Avenue in Endicott: October 17 and 19 from 9:00am until 2:30pm. Sign-ups will be accepted for Thanksgiving baskets only.
