Health Insurance Open Houses and Free Blood Pressure Screenings for Staten Island's 53,000 Uninsured

STATEN ISLAND, NY (03/30/2012)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care, the New York State Catholic Health Plan, is proud to join with Richmond University Medical Center, and the Amboy Medical Practice, to offer Health Insurance Open Houses for uninsured residents of Staten Island. In addition to health insurance consultations, the events will feature free blood pressure screenings, entertainment, and refreshments.

Staten Island is home to more than 6,000 uninsured children under the age of 19, and 47,000 uninsured adults between the ages of 19 and 64. Fidelis Care representatives will be available to answer questions about health insurance options, and to help eligible residents apply for coverage. Current Fidelis Care members may also receive assistance with their annual recertification of enrollment at the events. The Health Insurance Open Houses with Richmond University Medical Center and Amboy Medical Practice will be held at:

Tuesday, April 3, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
