ALBANY, NY (07/29/2011)(readMedia)-- Fidelis Care is pleased to participate in the 28th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2nd at 6 locations in Albany and the Hudson Valley. During the 2010 National Night Out, more than 37 million people joined together to take a stand against crime, and promote healthy and safe communities.
During National Night Out, local residents will join with community organizations, local officials, and law enforcement to educate and raise awareness on crime and drug prevention, generate support for local anticrime initiatives, strengthen neighborhood spirit, foster police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that their neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Fidelis Care helps build strong communities by addressing the health insurance needs of the poor, uninsured, and medically underserved. New York State has a significant population of uninsured residents under the age of 65, including more than 2.3 million adults between the ages of 19 and 64, as well as nearly 350,000 children age 18 and younger. By providing hope, medical security, and peace of mind, Fidelis Care strengthens the individual, and in doing so, the communities in which they live.
Fidelis Care representatives will be on hand to answer questions relating to our health insurance programs, screen uninsured individuals for eligibility, and schedule appointments to assist individuals in applying for Fidelis Care programs.
Fidelis Care offers free or low-cost health insurance through New York State's Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid Managed Care programs. Members are covered for regular checkups, preventive care, hospital and emergency care, eye exams, dental care, and more. In addition, Fidelis Care also offers a variety of benefit options for seniors through Fidelis Medicare Advantage, Dual Advantage, Medicaid Advantage Plus, and Fidelis Care at Home programs, available in certain counties.
