LONDONDERRY, N.H. (03/28/2012)(readMedia)-- For the second year in a row, Ford of Londonderry has maintained the high customer-satisfaction ratings and strong sales required to earn a President's Award from the Ford Motor Company. The New Hampshire Ford specialist was the only dealership in the Granite State to earn a 2011 President's Award, thanks to its dedication to customer service in both its showroom and service center.
Ford determined its President's Award winners by using four different customer surveys taken at Blue Oval-certified Ford dealerships several times throughout the year. Each survey covered different facets of the dealership, including overall sales satisfaction, overall service satisfaction and whether customers would recommend the dealer to others looking for Ford sales or service.
"We're incredibly proud of our staff for making sure that visitors to our dealership are treated to a top-notch automotive sales and service experience," said Jim McGovern, general manager of Ford of Londonderry. "Earning a President's Award from Ford two years in a row is a great honor, but it's the smiling customers in our showroom and service department that really let us know we're doing a good job."
With its 2011 President's Award, Ford of Londonderry stands out as a top performer in a year where sales were strong across Ford dealerships. Ford's 2011 U.S. sales rose 17 percent compared to 2010, with the automaker breaking 2 million units to become the best-selling auto brand in America. Helping boost sales last year was the Ford Fusion, which set a new sales record with 248,067 models sold. That success came despite the fact that the Fusion is due for a next-generation model this fall.
Fuel efficiency was on the minds of Ford engineers as they designed the upcoming 2013 Fusion, which will feature a pair of innovative EcoBoost engines that provide ample power and acceleration without sacrificing fuel economy. Ford fans will also be able to choose from two hybrid models to increase fuel efficiency even more, including the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid coming in early 2013.
Stylistically, the all-new 2013 Ford Fusion will feature athletic lines and a sleeker silhouette when it arrives at dealers, accented by projector lasercut headlamps and an inverted trapezoid grille. Buyers will also be able to take advantage of a range of new technologies, including a Lane Keeping System, adaptive cruise control and the latest version of MyFord Touch, which allows drivers to interact with vehicle systems through voice, touchscreen or traditional buttons.
"With the new technology that's rolling out, it's an exciting time to be a Ford dealer," McGovern noted. "The 2013 Fusion is going to change the way we look at midsize sedans, and we expect it to find even more success than the current model, which is no mean feat."
