ST. PAUL, MN (05/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Fort Wayne resident Rev. Dr. Lawrence R. Rast Jr., president of Concordia Theological Seminary and professor of American Christianity and American Lutheranism, is serving as the Concordia University, St. Paul commencement speaker for the undergraduate programs commencement ceremony May 11 at the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia campus.
Dr. Rast is a member of the Board of Directors for the journal Lutheran Quarterly and serves on the editorial committee of the Concordia Historical Institute Quarterly. He is a faculty representative on the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's Commission on Theology and Church Relations since 2006 and has served as chairman since 2010.
