BATAVIA, NY (05/31/2017) (readMedia)-- Genesee Community College sophomore Brooks Beschler (Caledonia) will represent the College and take on the field at the 2017 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Men's Golf National Championships at the Chautauqua Golf Club on June 6 – 9. Beschler qualified as an individual participant after finishing tied for 12th at the regional championships earlier this month.
Golfers will begin the week on Monday, June 5th with a practice round before the tournament officially begins with the first round on Tuesday, June 6th. The fourth and final round will conclude the event on Friday, June 9th.
Beschler ended his regular season with rounds of 85 and 82 and shot an opening round 84 at the Region III Championships at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University before earning his way into the top 15 with a final round 82 to qualify for nationals.
Jamestown CC has teamed up with the Chautauqua GC to host the NJCAA National Tournament since 2000 and will once again welcome teams and golfers from community colleges throughout the country for the 72-hole event.
