Gabriel Valenzuela Honored by Hartwick College

Gabriel Valenzuela of New York, NY, was recognized with multiple awards during Hartwick College's Honors Convocation held on May 3.

Valenzuela was recognized as an Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellow in Art History. A fellow is selected by the faculty to recognize outstanding achievement. Fellows serve as student assistants in their major department and receive a tuition credit.

Valenzuela also received the Franz Boas Award in Anthropology. It is presented to a graduating senior based on exemplary performance and service to the Anthropology Department.

Additionally, Valenzuela was given the Semenenko Clark Award for Outstanding Senior Thesis Presentation. The award was established by Christine Semenenko to promote excellence in the Department of Art and Art History. Funds support students as they excel in their chosen area.
