Warsaw Campus Center Instructor of the Semester Joe Petrillo.

BATAVIA, NY (06/05/2012)(readMedia)-- Warsaw, NY- The Warsaw Campus Center of Genesee Community College is congratulating its spring 2012 instructor and student of the semester: Math and Science tutor Joe Petrillo and part-time student Trisha Atwood.

Warsaw resident Joe Petrillo has worn many hats at GCC over the past nine years, including math and science tutor and testing proctor, as well as instructor in math and computers. His students praise him as "a special teacher" who is patient and caring and gives struggling students extra attention. Joe is also appreciated for his ability to make complex math problems and theories understandable to his students.

Trisha Atwood of Perry, NY has been studying biology at the Warsaw Campus Center, under the tutelage of instructor Bill Augrom. He commends Trisha for the hard work and the effort she puts into class, including helping others grasp concepts. "Trisha always has a positive attitude", says Mr. Augrom, "and lets me know she appreciates being taught."

Each semester, one student and one instructor are honored for their teaching and academic performances, based on nominations submitted by either instructors or students.
