ALBANY, NY (10/25/2011)(readMedia)-- The Goldstein Family Auto Group and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society have teamed up to create off-site adoption events at all four of the Goldstein Auto dealerships on Saturday, October 29 from 10AM to 2PM. There will be a variety of healthy, lovable cats and dogs ready to be adopted into their new forever homes at all three Central Avenue locations (Goldstein Buick GMC , Goldstein Mitsubishi and Goldstein Subaru) and at Goldstein Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Ram on Route 9 across from Hoffman's in Latham. The event is rain or shine, with indoor provisions lined up in case of bad weather.

This partnership began when MHHS Board member Miguel Berger reached out to the Goldstein Family about the need for a vehicle. The Goldstein Family Auto Group very generously donated a vehicle which will be at Goldstein Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Ram in Latham on Saturday.

"We are so happy to be a part of something this important. Too many pets need homes because of one reason or another. 'Giving Back and Loving' It" is a way we can help surrendered and unwanted pets find new homes by inviting the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society into our family of dealerships," said the Goldstein family, lead by Alan Goldstein and run with the help of daughter, Stefanie, son Greg and other family members. The Goldstein Family Auto Group works hard each day to make caring and good will a part of their company policy.

MHHS Executive Director Brad Shear commented, "We were absolutely delighted when the Goldstein Family Auto Group offered to host adoption clinics at all four locations on the same day. It's a great way to raise awareness about the organization and show people the wonderful animals – cats and dogs, kittens and puppies – that are looking for new homes."

We are grateful and they should be commended for their community involvement."

Every cat and dog available for adoption has been spayed or neutered, de-wormed, treated with flea and tick preventative and has received age-appropriate distemper and rabies vaccinations. Dogs have been tested for heartworm and cats for feline leukemia. All animals go home with 30 days of pet insurance and a free bag of Hill's Science Diet pet food and maybe even a new or used car to ride home in. All Goldstein dealerships will have staff on hand to answer questions about your vehicles or their's as well as product information to take home.
