Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick Offers Love It or Return It Guarantee

Maine Dealership Participates in Chevy Confidence Program

BRUNSWICK, MAINE (07/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Money-back guarantees are commonly given with smaller retail products, but they are rarely offered with auto sales. Showing some bravado amid strong sales across its revamped lineup, Chevy recently created a Love It or Return It guarantee for its new vehicles, and Maine Chevy dealership Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick is extending the offer to its customers.

Part of the Chevy Confidence program running through Sept. 4, the Love It or Return It guarantee allows buyers to return new 2012 or 2013 Chevy models between 30 to 60 days following a purchase, provided that there is no damage and less than 4,000 miles driven. Chevy's new program also includes Total Confidence Pricing, which promises that the advertised prices of new 2012 Chevy models include all current vehicle-specific incentives so customers won't have to negotiate for lower prices.

"Buying a car is a big decision, and we want to give each of our customers complete peace of mind during their purchase," said Jeanette Downing, general manager of Goodwin Chevrolet Brunswick. "It takes a confident automaker to let buyers return their vehicles if they don't love them, but Chevy knows that its customers will have few reasons not to be satisfied."

Chevy's sales continue to be a confidence-booster, rising 14.8 percent in June compared to the same month last year. In the first half of 2012, Chevy sold 961,662 units in the United States, a 6.3-percent increase over the same time period in 2011.

Leading passenger car sales for Chevrolet in June was its Malibu midsize sedan, which sold 31,402 units, an increase of 32.3 percent year-over-year. Year-to-date, 141,437 Chevy Malibu models have been sold, representing a 15.2 percent rise over the same period in 2011. Malibu sales could get an additional bump later this summer, when the all-new 2013 model of the car arrives at dealerships.

Featuring an all-new 2.5-liter Ecotec engine, the standard 2013 Chevy Malibu outputs 197 horsepower, an increase of nearly 17 percent compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, highway fuel economy is expected to approach the mid-30s, even with the 2013 Malibu's added cabin space. Chevy's latest sedan also now comes standard with 10 airbags, as well as an available rearview camera system, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Alert.

"Chevy has managed to give the new Malibu a sportier look without neglecting substance, whether it's more power, interior space or safety," added Downing. "That means that buyers get a vehicle that stands out in the crowd of midsize sedans without losing the practical benefits expected in the segment."
