Hastings Resident Marisa Tejeda to appear in Concordia University's The Robber Bridegroom

ST. PAUL, MN (10/18/2012)(readMedia)-- Marisa Tejeda, a resident of Hastings, Minn., has been cast in Concordia University, St. Paul's fall production of Broadway musical The Robber Bridegroom. Tejeda, a freshman, will be playing the role of Raven, the talking raven belonging to local bandits the Harp Brothers.

Set in eighteenth-century Mississippi, The Robber Bridegroom is an unconventional love story revolving around Jamie Lockhart, a devilish local criminal, and his quest to win the heart of Rosamund, the daughter of a wealthy plantation owner. Noted for its unique bluegrass score, The Robber Bridegroom is a boisterous celebration of country shenanigans featuring an evil stepmother, an animated severed head, and a gaggle of inept henchmen.

The Robber Bridegroom is playing Oct. 25-28 at Concordia's E.M. Pearson Theatre. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., Oct. 25-26 and 27. There is a 2 p.m. matinee showing on Oct. 28. Tickets can be purchased online at  www.csp.edu/tickets.
