ESPERANCE, NY (04/22/2008)(readMedia)-- Capital Region residents are invited to an annual SPRING MIGRATION HAWK WATCH and HAWK IDENTIFICATION WORKSHOP at the Landis Arboretum on Saturday, April 26, 10 am – 3:30 pm. Suggested donation, $5.
The 10 a.m. Watch will be followed by a Hawk Identification Workshop at 2 p.m. to help hone hawk watching skills. Leader: George Steele, Science Educator.
The Arboretum offers a spectacular view over the Schoharie Valley, a natural corridor for hawks on the move. Participants can be part of the watch for as long as they wish.
