Hayrynen Named to Michigan Tech Forestry Honor Academy

HOUGHTON, MI (08/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Michigan Technological University's School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science honored four SFRES alumni recently, including Jacob Hayrynen '81 of Negaunee, who was inducted into the SFRES Honor Academy.

Francisca (Panchita) Paulete '06 and Aaron M. Everett '01 were named 2013 Outstanding Young Alumni and David Myrold '77 received the School's 2013 Outstanding Alumnus Award, 

Hayrynen earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Michigan Tech. He is currently sales and marketing manager and assistant secretary for JM Longyear LLC and JM Longyear International, a natural resources company based in Marquette. He is a natural resources professional with more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of the forest industry.
