GCC men's lacrosse midfielder Drew Horton signs a National Letter of Intent with Sierra Nevada College

BATAVIA, NY (02/05/2016)(readMedia)-- Genesee Community College men's lacrosse midfielder Drew Horton (East Aurora) has signed a National Letter of Intent and will continue his academic and athletic career at Sierra Nevada College beginning in the fall.

Horton appeared in 15 games last season for the Cougars and tallied nine points, scoring seven goals and assisting on two. The two-way midfielder collected nine ground balls in his freshman campaign and caused one turnover. He is one of 16 returners for Genesee in 2016 and will try to help the Cougars return to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament for the second straight year.

Sierra Nevada College is a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) member school located in Incline Village, NV. The Eagles compete in the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League under head coach Matt Blamey.

Horton will receive scholarship to attend SNC and plans to major in Business Management and minor in Ski Resort Management.
