Hot Springs, Ark., Auto Dealer Holding Contest to Give $2,500 to Local School

HOT SPRINGS, ARK. (11/21/2012)(readMedia)-- The holidays are a time for giving, and Hot Springs, Arkansas Dodge dealer Tim Parker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will be joining in the spirit of the season by helping to support local education. From now through Dec. 31, the dealership is holding a contest that will result in a donation of $2,500 to one of five Arkansas school districts: Cutter Morning Star, Fountain Lake, Hot Springs, Lake Hamilton or Lakeside. In order to engage the entire community, the winner of the grand prize will be chosen based on votes for the schools on the dealer's Facebook page. School supporters may only vote once.

"There are many worthy organizations in the region that need assistance, but the team here felt that our local schools, which provide a wealth of opportunities for our young people year-round, were particularly deserving of our support," said Tim Parker, dealer principal of Tim Parker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. "We wanted to get everybody involved, and Facebook was the natural place to have students, as well as their friends and family, rally to support their school."
