Huntingtown resident wins competition to animate international music artists' new video
SAVANNAH, GA (01/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Ty Coyle, a Huntingtown, Md., resident and student at the Savannah College of Art and Design pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in animation, has been named one of 20 character animators on a music video collaboration between Grammy Award-winning singer, composer and songwriter Imogen Heap and internationally renowned electronic artist Deadmau5. Coyle was selected for the opportunity after entering the artists' global animation competition, HeapMau5.
"I never would have imagined being given the opportunity to work with animators from around the world on such a diverse project," said Coyle. "Collaborating with these artists from many different cultural and artistic backgrounds through animation has been the most exciting part. And without the guidance from my professors and peers, I don't think I would have reached this point. Everything I learned about animation and character performance comes from my education at SCAD."
