Tractor-trailer accident closes Turnpike eastbound at Morgantown (Exit #298)

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (11/14/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling EASTBOUND on the PA Turnpike (I-76) from Reading that due to a tractor-trailer accident blocking all lanes eastbound at milepost 298.3 all traffic must exit at the Morgantown (Exit #298) Interchange. A back-log has developed and motorists should stay alert for slow moving or stopped traffic approaching the Morgantown Interchange.

A highway detour between Morgantown and Downingtown (Exit #312) is now in effect. Motorists exiting at the Interchange will take State Route 10 south (1 mile) to State Route 23 east (12.5 miles) to State Route 100 (9 miles) and re-enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Downingtown Interchange (312/old 23) to continue eastbound on the Turnpike.
