BLOOMINGTON (06/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers attended the Illinois Broadcasters Association's 2011 Silver Dome Awards June 15 in Bloomington.
Seven Minute Awards were presented to Illinois television and radio stations for excellence in support of the National Guard's advertising efforts.
Maj. Gen. Dennis L. Celletti of Springfield, Assistant Adjutant General- Army and commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, awarded Dennis Lyle, President and CEO of the Illinois Broadcasters Association, with the Illinois Military Medal of Merit, the high state award that can be presented to civilians, for his exceptional service and assistance to the Illinois National Guard's broadcasting efforts.
"I'm just so honored and continue to be thankful for all the men and women of the Army National Guard do for our country," said Lyle.
