IBANY membership currently includes more than 30 Broker and Associate member companies throughout the greater New York Metropolitan area, and represents thousands of insurance professionals. "Our goal for 2010 and beyond is to engage all of our member firms' employees," commented Greene. "The success of our organization depends on the active involvement of employees, managers and principals at our member firms; networking and the sharing of ideas; advocating for one another and our profession; and taking advantage of professional development opportunities. Our new IBANY leadership team is committed to providing relevant programming and encouraging our members to get and stay involved."

IBANY's 2010 Spring Reception took place at Bridgewaters in historic South Street Seaport. This year more than 300 insurance professionals gathered for food, cocktails, and an evening of networking and relationship building. "IBANY receptions are well-known and popular industry events that give the insurance community a chance to strengthen our existing professional relationships and explore new business opportunities," stated Greene.

A unique combination of advocacy, professional development and networking has led to more than 112 years of success for the Insurance Brokers' Association of the State of New York. Run by a board of volunteer brokers, the Association represents the interests of New York's leading commercial insurance producers and works to ensure that brokers' voices are heard.
