Iowa State University Education Association to host education summit on Saturday

ISUEA student members focus on professional development and current issues affecting education today

DES MOINES, IA (04/08/2013)(readMedia)-- The Iowa State University Education Association will host an education summit for student members about education in Iowa, updates on professional development opportunities, and listen to speakers from a variety of areas in education. The event is free to ISUEA members but is limited to the first 200 registrations.

The summit features speakers including:

Jonathan Wickert - ISU Senior Vice-President and Provost

David Tjaden - Chair of the National Education Association Student Program

Tania Johnson - 2013 Teacher of the Year

Dr. Jason Glass - Director of the Iowa Department of Education

Dr. David Wilkerson - Superintendent of Waukee Schools

WHO:

The Iowa State University Education Association (ISUEA) is a professional assocation for college students at Iowa State University who are preparing to enter the education profession.

Check-in begins at 8:00am, with opening remarks at 9:00am.  A complimentary lunch will be served for those who register.
