Jarrell Students Receive Upward Bound Scholarships to Attend Southwestern University

GEORGETOWN, TX (05/16/2011)(readMedia)-- Jarrell High School seniors Maria Gonzalez and Erica Hernandez have been awarded Upward Bound Scholarships from Southwestern University.

Southwestern awards two scholarships a year to graduates of Southwestern's Upward Bound program, which serves 50 students from Georgetown, Granger and Jarrell High Schools. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition at Southwestern for four years.

Southwestern University is a selective, nationally recognized undergraduate liberal arts college with an enrollment of 1,300 students. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in Texas. For more information on Southwestern, visit www.southwestern.edu.
