Jordan Cargile Named CAA Pitcher of the Week

University of Delaware senior Jordan Cargile was named Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Cargile picked up her fifth and sixth wins of the season this weekend, as the Blue Hens notched two road victories over UNCW.

Cargile gave up just one run on seven hits while striking out four batters in a complete game effort during Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Seahawks. She then allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits in Sunday's 4-3 victory that kept Delaware in contention for a CAA Tournament berth.

The leader of the Blue Hen pitching squad, Cargile leads the team with six wins this season and improved to 25-28 in her career. Her 117 career appearances in the circle are third most in school history, while her five saves are tied for sixth most by a Blue Hen.
