Katie Gannon Recognized as Outstanding Junior at WWU

FULTON, MO (06/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Katie Gannon of St. Louis, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Junior Award at William Woods University's recent co-curricular honors banquet.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Gannon is an active member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, a junior representative for the Student Alumni Council, director of the Student Website Advancement Team, marketing director for Campus Activities Board and vice president of recruitment and marketing for the Panhellenic Association. She is also a member of Order of Omega Greek honor society and DECA student marketing organization.

Gannon's volunteer activities include Joplin-Bring the Flowers Back, Stray Rescue of St. Louis and the Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence.
