Kellenberg Memorial's Student Newspaper Recognized for Excellence in High School Journalism

Kellenberg Memorial's student newspaper, The Phoenix, earned the New York Press Association's First Place Award for Best Overall Publication. Junior Mary O'Brien also received Second Place for her multimedia feature on the Kellenberg Sailing Club.

Led by Editor-in-Chief and Class of 2026 Valedictorian Brooke Oldenborg, The Phoenix featured the work of eight student editors, 25 staff writers, and members of the Kellenberg Photography Club.
