GENESEO, NY (11/16/2012)(readMedia)-- Kimberly Showalter, a senior from Niagara Falls, N.Y., was among 10 SUNY Geneseo students participating in the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Undergraduate Research Conference recently in Willimantic, Conn.

Showalter, a communication major presented the project "Conventional Gender Roles Attempt to Normalize Homosexual Relations in Advertising."  Her faculty mentor was Atsushi Tajima, assistant professor of communication.
