POTSDAM, NY (03/13/2018) Defending Women's Ice Hockey National Champions and the No.1 team in the country, the Clarkson Women will make their third straight appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four and fourth showing in the NCAA's showcase event in the last five years when the Green and Gold travel to Minneapolis, Minn. this weekend.

Clarkson defeated Mercyhurst 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at Cheel and will now face Ohio State in the NCAA semifinals at Ridder Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The Knights and Buckeyes will face off on Friday at 5:00 p.m. EST. Colgate and Wisconsin will round out the Frozen Four and will meet at 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday.

Freshman Forward and La Mesa, Calif. native Tia Stoddard has played in 20 games this season, scored two goals, and netted the game-winner in a 4-0 victory against Yale. She graduated with honors from Grossmont High School.

Clarkson boasts a 34-4-1 record.

The winners on Friday will battle for the NCAA Championship Trophy on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. EST

Women's NCAA Frozen Four games will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
