Landis Arboretum Hosts Annual Festive Winter Dinner & Auction

With the Annual Holiday Dinner Auction committee working all out to secure an exciting array of silent and open auction items, the festive end-of-year fundraiser for the Landis Arboretum should be a destination of choice for a celebratory evening among friends -and great buys for any smart shopper's holiday gift cart.

The event is scheduled 4 - 8 pm on Saturday, December 6 at the Holiday Inn Express, Schoharie, NY (conveniently located right off exit 23 on I-88) -- an easy drive from anyplace within the extended Capital Region.

In addition to assorted hors d'oeuvres, festive holiday buffet, and appropriate libation, there will be wonderful music by the Oak Hill Kitchen Merrymakers. Popular area auctioneer and Landis friend Randy Passonno, President of Collar City Auction & Realty Management, Inc. will serve up some surprises for holiday season shoppers.

Tickets are $55 for members; $60 for non-members. A limited number of tables of eight are discounted at $430, offering an affordable way to honor friends, associates, and hard-working employees for a job done well. Merrymakers Entertain

Nestled in the heart of picturesque Oak Hill, New York, at the foot of the Catskill Mountains is the Oak Hill Kitchen, in what was once an opera house at the turn of the 19th century. It now stands as an historical reminder of a culture almost lost that thrived on neighborly friendships and care for one another. It is also home to a special group of regional musicians.

Arboretum Elder Council member Carol Wock brought members of the event committee there to hear the wonderful Oak Hill Kitchen Merrymakers. All delighted in the music-and the fact that the musicians have accepted the Arboretum's invitation to entertain at the upcoming dinner & auction fundraiser.
