KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (05/21/2010)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling I-476 to stay alert for slow-moving or stopped traffic when entering and exiting the PA Turnpike system at the Mid-County Interchange Sunday through Tuesday (May 23-25). Both express lanes and all conventional E-ZPass and cash lanes will remain open .
PennDOT construction crews will continue pavement repairs within the work zone on the Blue Route between I-76 and the Mid-County Interchange overnight Sunday , Monday and Tuesday . Each night from 7 p.m. -11 p.m. one lane northbound and southbound will be closed and two lanes in each direction will be closed from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
Motorists should proceed with caution traveling through PennDOT construction on the Blue Route and be prepared for overnight lane closures and periodic stoppages. PennDOT will provide tow truck coverage within the construction area to assist motorists and quickly remove disabled vehicles from I-476. Motorists can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on I-476. All work is weather sensitive and subject to change.
