ALBANY, NY (04/12/2013)(readMedia)-- Motorists are advised that, beginning tonight, the New York State Department of Transportation will be closing lanes in both directions on the Sprain Brook Parkway between State Route 100B (Dobbs Ferry Road) and State Route 100C (Grasslands Road) for bridge demolition. Weather permitting, the closures start this evening and will run through Sunday, April 21 at the following times:
Northbound: Nightly on weekends between 7 pm to 7 am
Nightly on weeknights between 7 pm to 7 am
Southbound: Nightly on weekends between 6 pm to 7 am
Nightly on weeknights between 6 pm to 6 am
In addition, daytime lane closures will be in place from 10 am to 2 pm northbound, and from 9:30 am to 3 pm southbound.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver's license.
