Large Energy Consumers Address Challenges and Opportunities

Multiple Intervenors Holds 37th Annual Meeting

ALBANY, NY (09/23/2009)(readMedia)-- Many of the state's largest industrial, commercial and institutional energy users will gather on September 30th to discuss the critical challenges and policy issues confronting large energy consumers in New York State.

The 37th Annual Meeting of Multiple Intervenors will include presentations by energy industry experts, regulators and key policymakers. In addition, the conference will provide the members of Multiple Intervenors and other conference attendees a unique opportunity to discuss important wholesale and retail market developments and regulatory issues that have a direct impact on the bottom line of businesses across New York State, including the State Energy Plan, environmental and energy efficiency programs, and economic development issues.

The theme of this year's conference is, "Energy Policy in New York – Where Do We Go From Here?" Representatives from the New York Power Authority, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, New York State Public Service Commission, the New York Independent System Operator, and the Electric Consumers Resource Council in Washington, DC will speak and serve as panelists.
