ALBANY, NY (10/25/2010)(readMedia)-- This summer, local credit unions launched the Get Carducated video contest (http://www.getcarducated.com/), a fun, creative platform to build youth financial literacy and connect with teens. Now it's time to vote by viewing and having others view the ones you like best!

Contestants were asked to submit a short video about responsible debit, credit and ATM card use, why it's important and lessons they've learned. So far, teens have submitted videos featuring a variety of perspectives, from cartoon illustrations to humorous adventures and helpful hints.

The three videos with the most views as of Nov. 1, 2010, will win one of three prizes. To view the submissions in the running for the $5,000 college scholarship grand prize, visit http://www.youtube.com/user/GetCarducated#g/f. The creator of the second place video will receive a MacBook and a $500 textbook credit. The third place prize is an iPhone and a $250 textbook credit.
