Leading Edge Film Festival to Feature Work by Campus Students

Festival set for April 24th

LOS LUNAS, NM (04/16/2013)(readMedia)-- UNM-Valencia Campus Media Arts Club (MAC) is showcasing films created by campus students at the Leading Edge Film Festival. The festival will have three screenings of the submissions on Wednesday, April 24th at the UNM-Valencia Campus Student Community Center.

The Leading Edge Film Festival is organized by the UNM-Valencia Media Arts Club (MAC), a club for students interested in the media arts. The festival is part of the 2013 UNM-Valencia Cultural Series.

This festival is a juried show and awards will be given at the evening screening, scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. The first screening is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 1 pm, The second screening will follow at 1:30 p.m. and conclude by 4 p.m.

Those who submitted a film are encouraged to attend the evening screening for the awards presentation, but they do not have to present to win.

The film festival is free and open to the public. Free popcorn and lemonade will be available. Other refreshments will be available for purchase. Some films may contain adult content.

All three screenings will take place in the Student-Community Center located near the south parking lot on the south side of the UNM-Valencia Campus.
