Lebanon Valley College Presents Pulitzer Prize-Winning Poet Stephen Dunn

ANNVILLE, PA (02/20/2012)(readMedia)-- The Lebanon Valley College English Department presents Pulitzer Prize-Winning poet Stephen Dunn for a poetry reading on Monday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in Leedy Theater of the Mund College Center. Dunn won the prize in 2001 for his book, "Different Hours." Admission to the reading is free and open to the public.

Born in Forest Hills, N.Y. in 1939, Dunn earned a bachelor of arts in history from Hofstra University in 1962. He attended the New School 1964 to 1966 and received a master of arts in Creative Writing from Syracuse University in 1970. In addition to "Different Hours," Dunn has authored 15 books and edited three others. He has read his poetry at The Library of Congress, and many colleges and universities throughout the country.

Since 1974 he has taught at Richard Stockton College of N.J., where he is distinguished professor of creative writing. Dunn has served as visiting professor at The University of Washington, NYU, Columbia, and the University of Michigan.

In addition to his books, his work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Nation, the New Republic, the New Yorker, The Georgia Review, and the American Poetry Review.
