Leeder Set New Career Record

GEORGETOWN, TX (11/27/2012)(readMedia)-- With her three-pointer against Hardin-Simmons on Sunday, Chelsea Leeder, a junior from Nacogdoches, TX, set a new SU record for most threes in a career.

The three-pointer was her seventh of the season and gives her 135 made three point shots in her career, breaking the old record of 134 set by Priyanka Kainthla who played for the Pirates form 2003-2007.

Leeder also holds the record for most threes in a game (6) and season (70) and most threes attempted in a season (207) and will likely break the record for most threes attempted in a career, needing just 27 to set that mark.

Southwestern has started the season with a 3-2 mark and open SCAC conference action this weekend in Sherman, Texas, facing Austin College at 6 p.m.
