SPRINGFIELD, IL (12/06/2016)(readMedia)-- Amber N. Martin of Litchfield, Illinois, was promoted to the rank of sergeant first class during a promotion ceremony at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois, Dec. 2.

Martin enlisted in the Active Army in 2003 and later transferred to the Illinois Army National Guard in 2005. For the past eight years she served with Joint Force Headquarters in Springfield, Illinois, most recently as the medical/dental noncomissioned officer. Martin is now an administrative noncomissioned officer for the Recruiting and Retention Battalion in Springfield, Illinois.
