LENOX/STOCKBRIDGE, MA (02/21/2016)(readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School will host a Little Penguins Explore & Play series for 2 and 3-year-olds on select Wednesday mornings from 9 am to 10:30 am. This teacher-led series is an opportunity for parents or caregivers to take part as their curious little learners investigate the world around them. Each gathering will be informed by the Reggio Emilia model upon which BCD's Pre-K is also based.
The first 3-week session will take place February 24, March 2, and March 9. The theme is "Feathered Friends" with crafts, music, puppet play and "invitation stations" that encourage the children to explore and to create will center on a bird theme.
The second 3-week session will take place March 30, April 6, and April 13. The theme is "Explore Our World." The group will visit far-off destinations using imaginary travel as the inspiration for hands-on activities, musical play, puppets and "invitation stations" that encourage the children to explore and create.
The cost of each session is $45, with a $15 discount if registering for two sessions. Siblings are welcome, and registration is required at www.berkshirecountryday.org/penguins. Both sessions will take place at the school's 27-acre campus at 55 Interlaken Road on Route 183 in Stockbridge.
