Martin officially assumed his new role June 14 at NYCUA's Annual Meeting. NYCUA's board consists of 11 volunteer directors representing credit unions in three asset categories: up to $25 million, $25 million-$100 million and more than $100 million. Martin, who was first elected to the board in 2014, is serving a three-year term in the more than $100 million asset category. "Randy Martin is a highly knowledgeable and experienced credit union leader," said NYCUA President and CEO William J. Mellin. "Randy has proven himself to be an extremely astute and thoughtful director during his time on the Association's board, and we are grateful that he will bring those traits to his new role as board secretary." In addition to his work on the board of directors, Martin also serves on NYCUA's executive committee, and he is president of NYCUA's Adirondack Chapter. The New York Credit Union Association has served as the trade association for the state's credit unions for 98 years.
