EAST GREENBUSH, NY (10/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Liberty Ridge Farm steps back in time to the OLD WEST from 1pm to 5pm Saturday, October 13th and Sunday, October 14th in Schaghticoke, NY. Western Weekend is a festival of activities including; **Live Music, face painting by Magic Brushes, balloon artistry by Farmer Bruce, barrel racing on inflatable horses, Rope a Steer challenge, and marshmallow gun target practice available to all ages. **Special appearance : The Flood Road Boys hail from upstate New York, playing an original recipe of Acoustic FolkGrass music.

WHAT:

 Western Weekend is a celebration of family and child friendly activities including face painting, balloon artistry, barrel racing on inflatable horses, rope a steer challenge, and marshmallow gun target practice. The farm will have Cowboys & Prospectors and even an Old West Sheriff deputizing each little wrangler. In festival fashion there will be fresh made apple cider donuts, home baked pies, and fall goodies that include apple cider slushies and a wide variety of the farm chefs favorite foods will also be available.

Complimentary admission to the farm and all activities will be provided for all media along with an opportunity to " Get Lost " in the 11 acre American Bald Eagle Adventure cornfield maze.  Western Days celebrate with cowboys, cowgirls, prospectors and old fashioned games, home baked pies and signature apple cider donuts and a fall celebration that includes pumpkin picking, and over 20 hands -on activities that are suitable for friends, families and children of all ages.  It is advised to dress for outdoor weather conditions that include;  boots or warm footwear, hats, mittens and a coat.
