Luna, Martinez, Griego Sworn into Office on UNM-Valencia Advisory Board

LOS LUNAS, NM (04/19/2011)(readMedia)-- Paul Luna, Belinda Martinez and Russell Griego were recently sworn into office on the UNM-Valencia Advisory Board. Luna and Martinez were re-elected to the UNM-Valencia Advisory Board, while Griego was elected to a first term.
All three members were sworn in on March 31 in a ceremony that preceded a regular Advisory Board meeting.
Luna represents Position 5, Los Lunas on the board. He was the chairman during his last term, and he was retained as the chairman. Luna is a retired public school administrator who worked for most of his career in the Los Lunas School System.
Martinez represents Position 2, Belen on the board. She was retained as secretary for the board. Martinez is a graduate of UNM-Valencia and the UNM College of Education. She currently teaches at Belen High School.
Griego represents Position 3, Los Lunas. He is the assistant vice president for the Bank of the West and manages both Valencia county branches of that bank. Griego is also the president of the UNM-Valencia Development Board.
This is Griego's first term on the board, and he ran for the position when David Chavez, who was the representative, decided not to run for re-election. Chavez was elected to the New Mexico State House of Representatives last fall.
